  1. Good luck Dan,
I pity those "pesky" showers wherever they occur..

  2. It certainly is a real pity that watchers and listeners of the BBC do not have the pleasure of enjoying the excellent delivery and presentation of Dan. A natural broadcaster of quality and Britians loss is NZ gain. I, for one, hope to see Mr. Corbett return to the BBC in the future.

  3. Hi Dan,
Wondered where you are? Miss the pointed finger at the end of the forecast!!

  7. Dear Dan: We really miss you in the UK. Loved your broadcasts. Wish you'd come home. Devon is beautiful though rather wet at present but a good place to live. Why NZ? Fond regards, Autumn.

  8. Wondered why the BBC forecasts are so dull these days, you gone down under. Ok its been long enough, BBC Scotland can always do with cheeier forecasters...good luck Dan we miss your style.

  10. Hey Danny!
Somehow I had a Daniel Corbett fan club link in my Facebook profile, so I clicked on it and it was you! So cool to see all the success you are having all around the world! I remember when you came to Austin and we ate at Chuys when you were doing the weather forecasts in Waco. How cool to see how you've moved on to bigger and better places!
Would love to hear from you! I'm now writing kids books about historic cities ... starting with Texas cities (i have a book about Austin out now... you can see it on Amazon if you want) and will start San Antonio, Houston, Dallas and Fort Worth this summer. Maybe someday I'll write about some cities overseas! Who knows.....
Send me an email if you want. Would love to hear what you are up to!

  15. I thought it was you! We moved to NZ from the UK in January 2012 and since reading various reports in the Dom Post, etc, I decided they had to come from you! How right I was! It's great to have you just down the road again :-)

  19. When I realized that Dan Corbett was no longer on BBC ,I was furious ,mainly because BBC didn't have the decency to say "by" to him and because for me ( french origine !) I was able yo understand every word he was saying ,despite his speed ! Every word !!!
It was a pleasure I have lost ....but good luck Dan ,new Zealander are lovely people !

  20. Dear Dan, my husband and I have missed seeing you on BBC news. We have been wondering for some time what had happened to you. Then today I thought I would look on the internet not really expecting to find you, but I did. Hooray. Come home we miss you. Best wishes Ann.

  21. Hi Dan
It was worth paying my TV licence just to watch you. I may move to New Zealand. Can I watch your weather forecast from UK.

  22. Hey did not realise you were the weather man on television (just read your page).

  23. Dan is the Man. I am from New Zealand and I am loving having you, Dan, here doing our metservice forecasts - it's awesome!

  24. How I miss your broadcasts. The weather just is not the same without you. I remember when you left the BBC some years ago and went off to America. My late mother missed you so much. She used to love all the wonderful banter in your forecasts. Sadly she died prior to your return to the BBC. I hope you are enjoying your new life in New Zealand. Sheila Clark, Glasgow

  26. We miss you Dan. No other weather bods even come close so you simply must come back... x

  27. Dan, my husband and I are devastated that you've gone off to New Zealand, we would sit on our sofa of an evening and say out loud 'thats the weather ...for now' the forecast is just not the same without you, we understand New Zealands weather might be sexier than ours but perhaps you'll reconsider and come back!!!!

(Posted on 2011-07-28 12:10:00 by Stella)
  28. The weather Forcast has not been the same without Daniel. He always brought a smile to my face with his comments no matter what the weather was going to be like!

I hope you come back to England soon.

  29. I feel quite guilty that I've only just discovered that you has left Blighty and gone to New Zealand. I have to say I'm very saddened by this. There have been some good and likeble forecasters down the years, but you are my favourite by a country mile. Best wishes, Chris
